Critic Z ~ "I Am Sam" Review

OK, I hav jus watched a brilliant, magnificent, award-winning film yesterday, and I am xtremely impressed by the wonderful, top-notch acting snd directing in the film.

Wat film am i talking abt? I guess some of you would have also watched it. It aired on Channel 5 on saturday 9th September 2006 10.30pm. It was "I Am Sam". I tell you man, this film captivated me from the start to the end. No kid! this is first film that got me glued to the Tv from start to end. And it was a no commercial 2hrs 40 minutes film! Moreover, I am quite a hard critic of Hollywood films, one of the few things in my life that which I xtremely adore.

The unique directing of using regular simultaneous close-ups on the character was impressive in putting focus on the speaking actor. the great lighting certainly did the film a great favour in bringing out the gloom and the joy of the main character, Sam.

However, what caught me in this film was the brilliant, magnificent, superb, top-notch, outstanding, eye-catching, excellent, masterful acting of the trio of main actors - Sean Penn, Dakota Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer.

Sean Penn got nominated as Best Actor in the 2001 Oscars, as well as numerous other awards, Dakota Fanning won numerous awards for Best Supporting Actress, while although Michelle Pfeiffer did not get nominated for any award, she put up a powerful performance.

Sean Penn, one of my most favourite actors, among Tom Hanks, Russell Crowe, Leonardo Di Cario, Jim Carrey, Dustin Hoffman, Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster, Meryl Streep, was the master and star of the film. He stood out perfectly as Sam, and his acting just LEFT ME IN AWE!
